Palm Tree Trimming
Dead fronds and seed pods off, done by climbing not by guesswork.

Palms are their own trade. The dead fronds, the old seed pods and the loose boots come off, and the growing point at the centre is left alone, because a palm has only one and over trimming it into a feather duster is damage you cannot undo. Tall palms get climbed on spurs and gaffs rather than reached from a ladder, which is the difference between a clean job and a dangerous afternoon. Houston palms want doing before hurricane season, when loose fronds and heavy pods become something else entirely.
We cover Houston, Humble, Kingwood, Conroe and north Harris County. If you are not sure whether this is the job you need, ring and describe the tree, it takes about two minutes to work out.

Palm Tree Trimming across the Houston area
The home patch. Older inner neighbourhoods carry big water oaks and pecans planted far too close to the slab, and they are now bigger than the houses they shade.
Loblolly pine country on sandy ground. Pines here grow tall and straight with the canopy all at the top, which is exactly the shape that catches a storm wind and takes the roots with it.
The Livable Forest, and the trees were there before the streets were. Dense pine on almost every lot, tight access between houses, and removals that have to come down in pieces because there is nowhere to drop anything.
Lakeside subdivisions on sandy soil, where a shallow root plate and a wet spring are a bad combination. A pine that has started leaning here rarely straightens up again.
Bigger lots and genuine acreage, so the work is more often clearing and storm damage than a single ornamental. Longer driveways and overhead runs change how the kit gets in.
Established subdivisions from the seventies and eighties, which means mature pines that have had forty years to grow over a roof line nobody expected them to reach.
Planned around its tree cover, with real preservation rules attached. Most of the work is careful reduction and deadwooding rather than removal, and knowing which is which saves an argument later.
Rural parcels and wooded back sections, where the job is usually access first and cutting second. What happens to the brush afterwards decides most of the cost.
Acreage and treelines along property boundaries, plus a lot of land being cleared for building. Clearing a line of mature pine is a volume job, not a tree job.
Open country with old oaks standing alone in a field, which is where you see the heavy horizontal limbs that eventually split at the fork. Cabling or reducing them beats losing half the tree.
